I have to admit, I thought you were a wizard for sure when I saw you cast your spells through some kind of spellbook, but I've never seen the sort of magic you were casting before. Perhaps I have something in common with your friend, at least when it comes to magic!

Only sort of. 'Tis my understanding that our methods of spellcasting differ quite a bit. Mine own magic is an offshoot of what we call arcanima, whose closest relative is in fact mathematics.

Though, unless I miss my guess, I would say you have quite a bit in common with her. You would not happen to be a tiefling, by any chance?

That's actually quite a bit similar to how our wizards cast spells, I think? My friend Dae that I mentioned - he's one too, and his room is always full of all sorts of wild equations and things that I can't understand. Not even after all of this time—

I... I don't think I've ever come across anyone like a viera where I'm from, though I wouldn't be surprised if a similar race existed and I just hadn't come across them yet.

I am not offended. 'Tis not the first time I've heard such a thing, and likely not the last.

Viera are typically reclusive, preferring to live in secluded forests or jungles. They very rarely venture from their homes, and once they do, they are often not welcomed back.

Ah, I'm a second-generation city viera, so 'twas my mother that made that sojourn, not me. Apart from her, I've never known what it was like to live among others of my kind, but I don't think I'm missing out on much, from what I've heard.

Oh... Wow! I feel like it must have taken a lot of courage from your mother to leave her home like that. She must be a remarkable woman!
