Goodness, Mondstadt sure sounds like a lively city!
It might take me a while to remember any other ones... But those, I heard from bards while adventuring. Of course all the credit goes to them, I could never write ones as clever as those on my own!
Limericks are fun ways to retell little jokes, I do like writing my own. Or reciting my favourites.
To compose a sonata today, Donβt proceed in the old-fashioned way: With your toes on the keys, Bang the floor with your knees: βOh how modern!β the critics will say.
I can even picture you playing a piano with your toes, just like that! Should I convince Diluc to add a piano to the bar so you can give us a performance?
Oh? If you'd like to learn how to play the piano I'd be more than happy to teach! I actually teach music lessons at Phantom's music studio, have you heard of it?
Okay, hold on! I want to try writing one right now.
[ She is unresponsive for several minutes, until she follows up with another message: ]
There was a redheaded man next to me Who could not find a suitable spot of tea And so I offered him a cup To help him cheer up And now we are as happy as can be
[ Please enjoy this totally spicy limerick written about Diluc!! ]
Ooh, I see, so you're really looking for a limerick about Diluc like that first one I sent. Of course!
[ an eternity later, she sends this: ]
Diluc of Dawn Winery has no shortage of coins Yet when I go shopping, he never joins He would rather not roam And wants to stay home To show me the fire of his loins
How's that?
[ Sure, her face is burning up while writing this, and it took her a whole afternoon to find the right words, but maybe now that she has indulged Venti with this, he'll spare her from any further comment about fiery loins and whatnot. (He won't.) ]
[Oh. It's so beautiful. There is a tear in his eye? Venti has never felt more accomplished in his entire life than seeing her write out something so perfect in regards to someone so dear.]
It seems you have a special talent, my dear Oriphi! I might have to say I have nothing else I could teach you when it comes to poetry! This is an amazing peice!
[Meanwhile, he's laughing his ass off.]
Please do send it to Master Diluc, I'm sure as someone who holds both you and Mondstadt so close to his heart that he'll find the joy in a limerick just like this.
Or at least, I hope he finds the ability to chuckle. Ehe!

I think you should absolutely convince Diluc to add a piano to the bar just for that!
no subject
Can you really? Now I absolutely must get Diluc to add a piano, because I've got to see this!
Could you teach me how to play, sometime?

[ Does Venti have... a job? ]
I think I'd heard of the place, but I haven't visited. But I've always wanted to learn, so perhaps I should pay you a visit there one of these days?
By the way, you must have my seen my lyre around our house too, haven't you? I would love to practice with you sometime with that, as well!
no subject
Yes, I'd be delighted to see you there!
And I have spied it, yes. It seems we'll have several musical sessions together then, ehe!

[ But not the spicy kind, okay?! ]
no subject
It would be an honor! You could write one specifically for Diluc!
no subject
Oh! Do you think he would appreciate something like that?

Well, it is very cute! But I was hoping it would at least mention Diluc's appearance at least once? Or perhaps even his inner fire?
[He's going to start making the innuendos even worse if she doesn't pick up the assignment.]

[ Sweet, sweet Oriphi... ]
Let's see... his inner fire, like how passionate he is about protecting Mondstadt, right?
no subject
All that which he uses to protect Mondstadt, I suppose!
[Ehehehehe.]

[ Oh, wow. Maybe spending all that time with her bard friend from home had some kind of effect on her! ]
I thought he might get embarrassed by it actually... But you've known him for a long time, so I trust your judgment!

Please do! Don't worry for a moment, dear Oriphi! I'm sure he will find it in himself to appreciate your writing!
